Dawn Medberry, owner of JEM Salon & Spa is a licensed cosmetologist since 1986. Since kickstarting her career, Dawn has had an entrepreneurial spirit!
She has owned three different salons throughout her career, starting with an in-home salon, A Touch of Dawn which she operated until 2014.
During that time, she also launched The Extra Touch salon in Elgin, Iowa from 1991-1994 and finally, bringing JEM Salon & Spa to life in 2014. Prior to starting her own salons, Dawn worked at Regis in Cedar Rapids.
Dawn received her cosmetology education from the Capri College of Cosmetology in Cedar Rapids after graduation from Edgewood-Colesburg high school. She passed her Iowa Cosmetology Boards with 100% in hair cutting techniques, which she is still proud to share today.
